CEO Banyan Payments

Caroline leads the global Banyan Payments business and is an accomplished senior executive with over 20 years’ experience in payments, banking, software, fintech, and M&A across Australia, New Zealand, Asia, and the United States. She spent 15 years scaling Visa’s global network business, working across complex ecosystems involving government, retail, financial services, and fintech partners. Caroline brings deep expertise in payments, leading diverse, high-performing teams and driving rapid growth through strategic transformation. Caroline leads payments strategy, product, technology, and partnerships, working to scale embedded payments across the globe that enhances the customer proposition for Banyan's diverse array of software businesses.

Mark Smith

CEO Medeor Healthcare Payments

With a career spanning more than 30 years, Mark has led technology transformation across diverse and highly regulated sectors, including over 15 years in global investment banking. He has led large-scale digital and analytics initiatives at Fonterra, where he built a global digital ecosystem using advanced analytics, IoT, and AI to unlock business value. At Green Cross Health, as CIO, Mark was responsible for the technology strategy and operations across both pharmacy and medical centre divisions - giving him deep insight into the challenges and opportunities in healthcare delivery and funding. With expertise in building scalable platforms, aligning business and technology strategy, and leveraging data to improve performance, Mark is focused on making healthcare payments simpler and smarter for healthcare providers.

Sanjeewa Samaraweera

Chief Technology Officer

Sanjeewa has more than 25 years of experience in software and technology, including 17 years in digital health. He played a key role in building the Medeor Payment Facilitation Platform from inception and has since worked with all partners to successfully embedd payments into their software products. Previously, he was Chief Operating Officer and Chief Architect at Manage My Health, Chief Operating Officer at Medtech Global, CRM Solutions Director for the Asia-Pacific region at Unisys, and a Principal Consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Sanjeewa works closely with our partners and their teams to integrate and embed Medeor into their products, providing ongoing technical leadership and support.

Sally Henson

Payments Operations Manager

Sally has over 20 years’ experience spanning retail, business, and corporate banking. She spent a decade at Westpac Institutional Bank (WIB) and six years with Citibank’s Auckland branch, where she represented the bank on Payments New Zealand industry committees and working groups. She later joined the Reserve Bank of New Zealand’s Prudential Supervisory unit where she gained valuable regulatory and risk management insight. At Medeor, Sally brings this mix of corporate and regulatory expertise to supporting payment solutions that are innovative, secure, and resilient for healthcare providers.
